I hired someone to create a cover for one of my books, and he sent me a picture of the cover in 3D view.
I like it! I asked him how he did it, and he said "Photoshop."
So I started looking into it, but I've been running into problems. After attempting one 3D strategy, I couldn't view any of my Photoshop files. I had to restart Photoshop twice to fix it.
To cut to the chase, can someone direct me to the best technique or tutorial to turn a rectangular picture of a book cover into something like the image I uploaded, complete with a drop shadow?
I'm using Photoshop 23.2.2 on a Mac.
Thank you.
Hi @Geobop, Photoshop is in the process of removing 3D features (more about that here). But you don't need 3D capabilities to create a book cover mock-up like the one you show here. The fastest route might be to search online for "Front & Back Paperback Book Mockups" and download free Photoshop templates. You can insert and skew your own flat cover artwork as you like. Here is one such place that is very kind to offer such templates for free (no affiliation): https://covervault.com. Hope that he
