Hi. In vanishing point all I want to do is render a grid in photoshop so I can manually adjust the file I have in place. I can't becuase it's greyed out and will not let me for some reason. I get the blue grid but will not render to my layers. Anyone have any thoughts?

Hi!

What version of Photoshop are you working with? And are you on a Mac or Windows machine?

Here is one solution about the GPU provided by Trevor.Dennis that might be some help. Read the full post here: https://community.adobe.com/t5/photoshop-ecosystem-discussions/render-grid-to-photoshop-not-working/...

But here are the steps that he took: I set GPU >  Drawing Mode > Advanced to Advanced (it was set to Basic) and turned on Use OpenCL and found I was able to use it apparently without a problem.

See if that works for yu and let us. know,

Michelle

Thank you for your reply. So this morning I come in start my computer and photoshop and it's no longer greyed out! I can see it. I'm using a mac and the latest PS and I'm set to advanced. I'm using an AMD Radeon Pro 5300. I've been having a lot of issues with my masks recently where I would get these blocks on my mask and I can no longer see what I'm doing. I have to zoom in and out until it comes back. I wonder if my graphics card isn't good enough.

I'm glad you are back up and running, but it still sounds like there is some kind of issue going on. What version of Photoshop are you using?

Apparently Adobe have retired the 3D features of Photohop and Vanishing Point was one of them. They've been replaced by the Adobe Substance 3D collection which is available for just an extra $49.99 a month on subscription! It makes you wonder what other features they'll retire so they can charge more for them in future.

To anybody that searched for this, make sure that the perspective grid itself turns blue when laying it out. If it's yellow or red, the corner nodes are in invalid positions and "Render Grids to Photoshop" will be greyed out
