Resizing in bulk to 3000x3000px

I have a couple hundred 360° product shots that all need to be resized to 3000x3000px - all the while staying perfectly in frame. 

I tried several approaches such as creating an action of cropping them first. The idea was to have a background layer that is in the desired size and place the cropped pictures on there. Of course this requires some manual effort and I am looking for a way to automate this process.

Please explain what you mean and post a couple of source images and the corresponding target images. 

Is there a clear and uneqivocal rule about how the images are to be cropped or is this subject to aesthetic deliberations?
