*.rgb (SGI) file format does not open.

If I try to open the file, the message "Could not open "*.rgb" because the file-format module cannot parse the file." is displayed.

It works fine in Photoshop v21.2.12 version, but not in v22.51 version.

Please solve it.

I just tested some sample files in 22.5 and have no issues (although I'm Mac). What system are you running now?

(If you change the file extension to .sgi, does it still fail? )

If you feel it's a bug, head over to https://www.adobe.com/products/wishform.html to make a report, we're just users here, not Adobe techs.

Brad,

The feedback forum was combined with this one one 31 August 2021 and Adobe staff is now on this forum.

https://community.adobe.com/t5/photoshop-ecosystem-discussions/community-forum-consolidation/td-p/12...

To report a bug, it can be tagged as a bug (or we can move it)

Thanks, Jane. I missed that somewhere along the way!

Can you post one of the files you're having trouble with for us to try and debug?

Are you on macOS or Windows?

If I can reproduce the issue, I'll convert the discussion to a bug. 🙂
