Round brush settings

Hello, I have a question about the round brush: is there a way to avoid the darker area between two overlaped strokes keeping the opacity variation setting on?

I want to use the brush to draw, and the variation of size and opacity are  convenient settings, but the strokes create this darker area even if the pressure is the same. Is there a solution?

Could you please post screenshots with the pertinent Panels (Toolbar, Layers, Options Bar, ā€¦) visible?

Sounds to me like you should be using the Brush Tool at full Opacity but paint on a Layer with the intended Opacity.

If you want Opacity and Flow control via pen pressure how would Photoshop be able to determine what (other) color/transparency you actually mean one Stroke later?

My recommendation is still: Paint at full Opacity on a separate (Solid Color) Layer with the accordingly reduced Opacity.
