Ruler image not showing up in PhotoShop

I have my ruler set to visible, but do not see the ruler just a blank area. I can drag a guide with increments, but how to get my ruler to show? See image attached. Thank you! Susan

Go View>Show> and check "Rulers"

Thanks, Leslie, I have done that. If you look at my image above you can see that on the left and the top there is black space where my ruler *IS*, but is not showing. I can go into the space with my cursor and pull out a guide which gives me increments as I pull it across, but I am not seeing the actual ruler image. Hope that explains it better?

OK try Window>Options

So I did try "Window>Options", and attached is a screen grab showing "Window>Options - UNchecked" and "Window>Options - checked" side by side. Still no ruler image.

OK So NOW is the time for View>Show>Rulers (I hope)

Here is a full screen shot, you can see that I have clicked View>Show> ... which then has not "Ruler" option, however under initial View there is "Rulers" and that is checked.

Well I don't know why this is happening. Someone will know tho.

Thanks, Leslie. I'll look forward to other ideas, and keep searching. Or, go back to my CS3 where things don't disappear. Grin.

This is a known issue and the engineers are working on a fix.

Some have reported this works in the interim:

• Preferences >  Technology previews > enable "Deactivate native canvas"
• Also enable "Use older node of GPU 2016"
• Relaunch Photoshop
