Save As and save are not working 2021 photoshop on mac

I recently updated to the new Mac Big Sur and upon update completion, I was prompted to update Photoshop to th newest version.

Unfortunately, now when I open Photoshop I can no longer create new projects. If I hit File--> New nothing happens. I have found a way around this by going to Photoshop --> Preferences --> General --> Use legacy "New Document" Interface. While this works it's hardly preferred.

The real problem is that I cannot Save As new projects. I have resorted to duplicating already saved files and then opening the copy and editing that. This is becoming honestly infuriating and I have tried the following solutions to resolve the problem, but have had no luck:

  • Restarting Computer

  • Resetting Preferences

  • Uninstalling Photoshop

  • Switching back to the previous version of Photoshop

  • Giving Full Disk Access

Any ideas on what is causing this problem? Not too long ago my Photoshop was working fine.

The biggest issue I have is when I click Save As nothing happens. No prompt, no spinning wheel, no freezing. Click it and it's as if I clicked NOTHING the same thing goes for the save button.

I have 100 photos I've edited and done work on, I can't save anything. How do I keep from losing hours of labor?
