save as psd photos look black

Explorer ,
Oct 21, 2023 Oct 21, 2023

When I save a psd photo from Photoshop to Documents on my Mac, the preview is all black.  But when I put it back in Photoshop I can see the photo with all the layers.  This has been happening only in the last few months and I didn't change any settings that I am aware of.  The previews of older photos that I've saved look just like the photo.  I don't know how to fix this.

I am using Photoshop 2024, and it was doing the same thing in Photoshop 2023 for a few months.

I'd be inclined to go straight to resetting Preferences, and if you have tried that already, do a manual reset.

Thank you.  I'll try that.
