Save dialogue box doesn't appear when trying to save in Photoshop

Everynow and again when I try to save a file in photoshop nothing happens. Whether I try to save, save as, or export the save dialogue box doesn' appear! I have to quit photoshop and restart it for it to work again. So frustrating, does any one know how to fix this?

Please try to reset the preferences of Photoshop using the steps described here:

Please backup your settings before resetting the preferences. You can check:

If this doen't help we need more informations about your system.

Which version of Photoshop do you use?

Which operating system do you use?

Please post the exact version, not only phrases as "recent", "latest" or so.

Yes, i've already tried resetting the preferences.

The version of Photoshop i use is 23.4.1 and I use macOS Monterey Version 12.4, Mac mini M1 2020

The same thing happens everynow and again as well on my 2019 macbook pro.

No I haven't, I onlt have one monitor for my mac mini

I have a second monitor, but I don't currently use it. I also have MacOS
with Monterey 12.4 and the Photoshop 23.4.2. I updated it thinking maybe
they found this bug and fixed it in the new version. But after a while of
using Photoshop it won't allow me to save my files in any way.
