Save doesn't work on mac M1 Pro (high impact bug)

Simply can't save or export anything in Photoshop. The dialogs simply don't appear, nothing happens.

Only Save to Cloud Documents seem to work, but only for psd files.

I tried installing an older version, without result.

Please help, we use Photoshop all day and this has extremely high impact on our business.

At the moment we were forced to switch back to our old laptops, simply because of this bug.

Hello, this is a known issue with Monterey and multiple screens: https://helpx.adobe.com/download-install/kb/macos12-monterey-known-issues.html

Some fixed the issue by setting their laptop screen as the main screen.

I've read that even some Apple made software, like TextEdit suffer from the issue.

Hi

Have you tried resetting Preferences? Go to Photoshop menu > General > Reset Preferences on Quit after backing up customization. The next time you save you will be asked if you want to save to the desktop or Cloud and there will be a checkbox for if you want to be asked again.

If this does not work, contact Adobe Customer Care:

or send a tweet to @AdobeCare for support.

Let us know.

Setting up laptop screen as the main screen has fixed it for me, although that is slightly annoying.

Running all the latest versions of Photoshop as Montery OS.

I have a MacBook Pro M1 and I don't have the issues you describe – try upgrading to version 23.3.1 to see if that helps.

How much RAM and spare hard disk capacity do you have?

I have a similar setup and have not experienced this issue. The first thing that I suggest is resting the Preferences (Preferences > General) and ensuring that your software and OS are up to date.

Try renaming the UXP folder
Rename the UXP folder to ~UXP.
• (Windows) Navigate to C:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe\UXP
• (macOS) Navigate to Macintosh HD/Library/Application Support/Adobe/UXP

If that fixes it, I'd like to get a copy of the renamed UXP folder.

Also, make sure you're on 23.3.1.
