Save For Web Error - Blank Save for web window in Photoshop 2019 on macOS Big Sur

I upgraded my Macbook Pro to MacOS Big Sur yesterday and when I tried to Save For Web on my Photoshop CC 2019 it showed me this screen. I already tried reseting it to essentials but its still not working. Did this already happen to someone?

Hi,

We're sorry about the trouble with Save For Web window in Photoshop on macOS Big Sur. The 2019 version you're using has not been tested on macOS Big Sur & there might be compatibility issues. Please update Photoshop to the latest version & let us know if the issue persists.

If the issue persists, please ensure Photoshop have all necessary permissions on your Mac by following the steps mentioned below:

1. Go to the System Preferences for your Mac, then Security and Privacy, then select the Privacy tab.

2. Then select Accessibility from the list to the left & check if Photoshop is added to the list with a check mark in front of it.

3. If Photoshop is not a part of the list, please add it by unlocking the window first using the lock at the bottom left, then clicking the + icon & navigating to the Applications folder.

4. Also, grant permissions to Photoshop under Full disk access located in the same list as Accessibility.

5. Once done, restart the Mac & check if it helps.

Hi Nikunj,

Thanks for your reply. I'm using the CC 2019 because the 2021 version keeps crashing constantly on my computer – I've looked at various posts but can't seem to get around that.

Perhaps try resetting Photoshop preferences?

(read this entire post before acting please)

Resetting restores Photoshop's internal preferences, which are saved when Photoshop closes.

If they become corrupt then various issues can occur.

Note re macOS: The user Library folder is hidden by default.

Unexpected behavior may indicate damaged preferences. Restoring preferences to their default settings is a good idea when trying to troubleshoot unexpected behaviors in Photoshop. check out the video

You may want to backup your settings and custom presets, brushes & actions before restoring Photoshop's preferences.

Before you reset your preferences

in case of future issues, I suggest you make a copy as Adobe may need one to check problematic references. 

Quit Photoshop.
Go to Photoshop's Preferences folder

  Note for those on macOS: - be aware that the user Library folder is hidden by default on macOS.

  In the Finder, open the “Go” menu whilst holding down the Option (Alt) key.

  Library will now appear in the list - below the current user's “home” directory. ]

Now you can drag the entire Adobe Photoshop [Version] Settings folder to the desktop or somewhere safe as a back-up of your settings.

Note for those on macOS:

Preference preservation is affected by macOS permissions,

you’ll need to allow Photoshop ‘Full Disk Access’ in your Mac OS Preferences/Security and Privacy

It may even be time to reinstall Photoshop.

It’s recommended that you use the Adobe CC cleaner tool to remove all traces first.

(See above about preserving preferences though! Its worth preserving them unless they are corrupted.)

Uninstall Photoshop BUT make sure to choose the option “Yes, remove app preference”.

Once that process finishes, start the installation process and look into the “Advanced Options”. Uncheck “Import previous settings and preferences” and choose to “Remove old versions”.
