Is there any configuration or adjust in Photoshop when exporting slices from Save for Web without it creating the "images" folder? Like only going to the selected folder...

Not that I am aware of, the folder is there to help organise assets with the HTML code for layout – even if you select images only.
A script can save slices to separate files:

This script saves to PSD, modifications would need to be made for JPEG, PNG etc.
