Saved Printer Preferences disappear

Periodically, the saved printer preferences disappear.  I go to print and when I look in the Print Settings Current Settings drop down list, the settings I previously named and saved have disappeared.

Could you share the version of Photoshop you're using along with your computer's operating system? When did this behavior start? 

You can try uninstalling and re-installing the printer ones to check if it happens again. Also, ensure that you have the latest printer drivers from the manufacturer installed on the machine.
