saving files

Ok in this new update when Im trying to save a file to JPEG, firs the file comes up as PDF which I dont want so i change it to JPEG and save it, in the old version that setting would stay but with new version I have to go thru the same change is there a way to save that setting, thanks in Advance

Go to Preferences/File Handling and turn on Enable Legacy Save As.
