Scratch Disc Full: 650GB of free space on external drive but Photoshop won't regonize it on macOS

Scratch Disc Full Error, I Have 650gb of free storage on the scratch disc I'm using (external) but Photoshop won't regonize it, so I can't even open the app because I keep getting the scratch disc is full pop-up.

We're sorry about the trouble with Photoshop. Would you mind sharing the version of Photoshop you're using along with your computers macOS version? Which file format is the external drive in? Since you're working on macOS, please ensure that the external drive is in APFS or Mac OS Extended (Journaled) file format.
