'Scratch Disk full' message in photoshop

Hi

Recently getting this message when I use photoshop - "Scratch Disk is full", even when I've 400gb hard disk space in computer.

I've to delete files from computer, restart photoshop in order to continue using it.

Can you assist?

  • Which operating system?
  • Which version of Photoshop?
  • How much empty HD space do you have?
  • How big are the files you're trying to open?
  • Do the files reside on your primary hard drive or an external source?
