Scripting a Post 2022 PNG save with embedded profile, the good and the bad. Mostly bad.

Hi all,

I know, I know this is a horse beat beyond a dead thing that's dead.  Looking at the available chats/forums/and threads about the subject, heres how I boil it down

Ps 2022 droplet to save a png w/profile; CHECK all good

Same droplet via Ps 2023, 2024, result UNTAGGED

New Actions;

SFW, changes all images to 72 pdi, Profile IS embedded

Export As, not action-able!

Now for something interesting, if you run the Export Layer Comps to files, choose PNG and check embed profile.  That's what you get.  Something within all that code produces the end results I and others have been looking for.

Could someone strip out the Layer Comp bits/Dialog Box and hard code the png/profile to export with embedded profile correctly?

I've been on Adobe's case  for 8 years no to make Export As actionable and they just refuse to do it. Imagine creating a modern production tool, then somehow neglecting the whole production part. And color profiles were totally absent for the first few years and are still an after thought. They've simply lost their way and it's just beyond sad.

So what would cause this? I've been able to action the png export with the embedded profile enabled and saved.  If I make a droplet and save that to a central server, it works perfectly.  Others not so much.  Is there some user preference that is preventing the droplet from being stable one system to the next?  All workstations are running MacOS the server is Linux.
