Gracias

Hey, @Luis A. Molina. Welcome to the Photoshop Community. I'll help you figure this out.
Does the problem exist if you use Photoshop (beta)? Get Photoshop (beta) from the Apps section > Beta Apps in the Creative Cloud desktop app.
If that does not help, please ensure there are no stale preferences in your Photoshop. You can go to the location of the preference folder below and rename it to back it up. (https://adobe.ly/3u7u84j) This method is more effective compared to the in-app Reset Preferences at quit method.
macOS: Hold down the Option key in the Finder when using the Go menu. The library will appear below the current user's home directory.
Library > Preferences > Adobe Photoshop [version] Settings
Rename the Adobe Photoshop folder by adding a .old at the end. (Adobe Photoshop 2025 > Rename > Adobe Photoshop 2025.old)
This will give a fresh start to Photoshop as a new installation.
Thanks!

Hey @Luis A. Molina,
We recently released Photoshop 26.6.1—have you had a chance to try the new version, and has it improved the issue?
If you're still seeing the same behavior, could you share a short video of the problem and your system info? You can find that by going to Help > System Info in Photoshop, then copy and paste the details into a text file and attach it to your response.
Thanks! Looking forward to helping you get this sorted.

Thanks for the update. I understand that the issue appears to be specific to Photoshop, while Camera Raw and Lightroom are working fine—that's helpful to know.
It seems that the system information wasn’t attached correctly to your response. Could you please copy and paste it directly into your reply for now? I’ll take care of adding it as an attachment later.
Also, as my colleague mentioned earlier, it would be really helpful if you could share a short video of the issue along with the steps you're following to reproduce it. This will give us better insight into the workflow and help us investigate more effectively.
Looking forward to your response!
Regards,
Srishti

Good afternoon.
I can't make the video at the moment. The procedure is as follows: I search for the photo and then select Objects. It selects the various objects in the photo, and when I hover over the different people, they also appear selected. When selecting people, it doesn't select them, and the corresponding faces don't appear. The wheel keeps spinning and spinning for no time at all (I’ve been waiting for two minutes once).
Here is the “System Information”:
Again, thank you for your attention

Hi @Luis A. Molina,
Thanks for all the detailed info you’ve shared so far, it’s really helpful.
I’ve reviewed your system configuration, and I noticed that your NVIDIA GPU was released back in November 2013. Photoshop’s GPU features are optimized and tested on graphics cards that are less than 7 years old. While some older GPUs may still function, they’re not officially supported, and performance or compatibility issues—like the one you’re seeing—can occur.
Camera Raw and Lightroom may still work differently as their GPU requirements and implementations vary slightly.
Here are a couple of suggestions:
Update your GPU drivers: Make sure you’re using the latest drivers directly from the GPU manufacturer’s website.
Disable GPU Performance in Photoshop: Go to Preferences > Performance, uncheck “Use Graphics Processor”, and restart Photoshop.
Let us know how that goes — we’re here to help!
Best,
Anshul Saini
