Since updating my Mac PS won't launch

Since updating to Monterey 12.3.1 on my 17" Imac (2018)  I have had problems with LRC and PS.

First I lost a whole file of photos that was in LRC collections  I had to go to the hard drive to retrieve them all.  (Haven't actually found them all yet)  The worst that just happened:  I tried to edit a photo from LRC to PS but PS wont open.  Went to Creative Cloud and found an update for PS, but did not help.  I have a Photography subscription so should have been automatic.  When I try to open the file with Lightroom adjustments, it acts like it is going to do it but I get a message that PS will not launch.  What is weird is that I receive another copy of the photo back into LRC with Edit.psd extension.  I now have four copies.

Very frustrating.

Just because you have a subscription does not mean your apps update automatically when you change OS.

Have you tried resetting Photoshop preferences? Hold shift+ctrl+cmd+opt when you launch PS prior to the splash screen.

What version of PS are you currently trying to run?

Did the update for Photoshop actually complete or did it error out?

Thanks so much for your reply.  After shutting down and reopening this am, it all works ok.  PS launched as normal.

Did you reset your preferences? Or did it just fix on it's own?
