Communication problem? - Adobe - are you aware there is a SIZING ISSUE in the following chain: -
1/ Create a page (say, a few pics) in an A3 Template within MS Publisher

2/ Export said page as a .pdf
3/ Import said .pdf into Photoshop (to check and to print)
4/ The page is rescaled;:- dimensions are NO LONGER as A3
5/ MS will blame Adobe & Adobe blame MS
6/ Consumer issue unlikely to be resolved!!!
7/ Exceedingly tiresome to eventually succeed to post this complaint!
8/ The "issue" has wasted me a considerable amount of time and resources.

Did you mean to post this to the Developer's forum? If not, I can move your post to either the Photoshop or Acrobat forum.

So they can better assist:

  • Are you creating a Microsoft PDF or an Adobe PDF? (Adobe developed, then gave away PDF technology.)
  • When you open the PDF in Adobe Acrobat or in Acrobat Reader, what size is it there?
  • Is there a reason you need to go into Photoshop first? What happens when you print from Reader (free) or Acrobat?

It's no good firing off random posts saying stuff doesn't work without detailed evidence - especially since Adobe don't even read this stuff. Anyway, why would anyone take a PDF into Photoshop to print - that's ludicrous!!

I do not consider such comment as relevent: -
I am an end user who has suffered loss of time and money on a sizing error.
and I am determined to get the issue resovled.
I do not need inane remarks as to which transfer methodology to use
as I was requested by the commercial print resource to apply such method.
Thank you.

Hi!

Are you aware that you are converting the file to pixels if you open a PDF in Photoshop?

Could you ask why the commercial print resource recommended Photoshop rather than Acrobat to open the PDF?

Moving to the Ps forum.
