Hi, Smart objects could contain files from Illustrator, for instance. Are you sure it is not the case, do you have the full CC subscription? installing AI could be a good idea to see if it is that.

it's Smart objects file From Ai

I wonder if it's a file association issue?

• In Bridge > Preferences > check to see that .ai is for the current version of Illustrator
• In Windows OS, follow these steps from Microsoft:
