Hey guys,
First time poster here. I'm experiencing this bug quite frequently in Photoshop (latest version):
There's a solid block (usually gray, but sometimes white (?) or another color) which sticks to my text box when selecting text in it. In order to see the text, I have to zoom in/out, but many times, the block still stays even on some of the other zoom views. Anybody else experience this?
This happens both when I have the Use Graphics Processor checked on and off, so it's probably not a graphics card issue (I hope)?
If somebody can give me a hint on what I could do to help alleviate this issue, I'd be very happy.
OS: Windows 10.
Thank you!

I don't believe that's a bug, but rather highlighting the text so you know it's selected.
After you select some text you can press Ctrl+H to hide the highlighting of the text.

I appreciate the answer, but it's not that, the box doesn't appear over the selected text only, it appears even outside the text box sometimes.

Maybe what your seeing are Alternate Glyphs.
In Photoshop go to Edit>Preferences>Type and uncheck Enable Type layer glyph alternates.

It doesn't seem to happen only with text. I am now experiencing this with a block of solid color over graphics as well. This is supposed to be a Vector Smart Object.... Strange.

Since it seems to be a random issue, a reset of the Photoshop preferences may solve the problem:
