Hello. I am new to photoshop and would like some help with 3D images. I followed a Youtube guide to make a two sided postcard but there is no extrusion to it and I can not seem to find exactly what I want in any tutorials... Maybe I am using the wrong terminology in my searches. Can someone tell me how I can create basically the same as the attached file but with a slight extrusion please?
Thank you

3D is deprecaated and being removed from Photoshop. It has not worked relaiably for some time.
If you must use Photoshop, try following your tutorial using v 22.2 which was the last version for 3D. Personally, I would advise moving to other 3D software such as 3D Sampler for that task, or Blender.

Do you want to creat an object that you can orientate in 3D space, or just give it the illusion of depth? If the latter, then select the parts and copy to a new layer, and use Layer Styles > Bevel & Emboss

Hi thanks for the replies... I wanted to create an object I can orientate in 3D space. Maybe i should look into other softwares as I'm attempting to create content I can use to do some interesting things with using java. I am currently building a site so I started learning css html and php a couple of monthys ago. Now I need to start learning java and create the 3D images for the effects I am looking to create.

Blender is free, and there are lots of videos on how to use it. It's what a lot of people use before applying texture with the Substance apps.

Yes - that use is definitely one for 3D software. This was Substance 3D Sampler to create a 3D material containing height info which was then applied to a plane in Blender 3D for rendering. It would have been better to start with a higher res image.

Awesome, thanks for your input. I will have a crack at blender. ......
However... I think that I have managed to get to the stage where I can now merge 3d layers from the attached file...
How can I adjust the co-ordinates of the bottom layer so that when merged, the layers apear front / back instead of kind of just mixing together please?. I'm definately taking your advise for my next bit of 3D experimentation but I hope that I might be able achieve the desired effect(-ish) with this one in photoshop before I start over with another sftware with higher res images.
Thanks for your help.
I'm busy learning so many new things the advise is very much appreciated.

@Ginger33771210jue2 are you working in Photoshop 22.2 as @davescm noted? If not you need to reconsider using PS for this endeavor. As Dave stated this is depricated and no longer a useable workspace to edit 3D in.
