"If you can't stand the heat, get out of the kitchen" or so said the old phrase, often attributed to one H.Truman.
This weeks starter image was sparked by a recent forum discussion, in which it was said that it would be a pain to create a kitchen in Blender 3D. Well with a challenge like that I had to do it. 🙂 I created this in Blender 3D, with a bit of simple modelling, along with a few assets from Adobe 3D Assets. All texturing was done in Adobe Substance 3D Painter.
So you have the kitchen, what pictorial story will you tell within it?
The “rules”:
* Anything goes, as long as it meets the forum rules on decency, copyright etc
* Anyone, and everyone, is welcome to have a go, whether you are a complete beginner or a Photoshop expert. This is not just for our forum "regulars".
* There are no prizes apart from the chance to practice, show off, or bring a bit of humour and fun. Don't be shy, join in and have a go!

Great idea Trevor, and I could guess which side the toast lands on. I also like the way the way the mouse is looking across at the cat.

Trevor, if that is the size of mice in that kitchen, as a cat I should worry more than a wee bit and maybe stay put, lest I came across the next size in rodents.

I commend the use of British wall sockets. Particularly so many 🙂

You can't have enough sockets Euan 🙂
I made those sockets as 3D decals in Adobe Substance 3D Designer. So now I have them available, in Adobe Substance 3D Painter, to drop onto any other "wall" in the future.

Great job.
I hope the machine screws holding the face plate to the wall box are 3mm, domed countersunk with slot?

Please tell that to my county inspector, Dave. I wanted that many and they did not allow it. 😕 Nicely done all the same!

Ozzies never go outside Dave. There are too many critters waiting to kill you. They have the first and second most poisonous snakes in the world; the Inland Taipan (aka fierce snake) and Eastern Brown Snake. The Western Brown Snake is no slouch when it comes to being deadly poisonous either. Note how Ozzies like to maximise the range of critters that can't wait to bite you on the bum in the dunnie. i.e. Inland Taipan and Coastal Taipan, and Front Yard Brown Snake and Back Yard Brown Snake.
Plus, what with them being upside down, the shrimps keep falling off the barbie.

So what about the spider attached to the cabinet door? Innocent or Lethal? Or a Halloween decoration?

While the tarantula looks quite scary, it is not the most deadly in Austalia. Even though they are often called Bird Eating Tarantulas, I don't think they generally eat birds. Funnel web spiders are more deadly.

@Trevor.Dennis - what did you say about us being upside down?

Another phrase Harry S Truman liked to use:
The “S”, by the way, was his entire middle name and not merely an initial.
