Something for the Weekend - Part 234 - Clove Hitch!

Hi,
Well done to all you posted images in our last, 'vital spark', challenge. There were some clever interpretations of the spark plug.

This week our starting ingredient is one which may be more familiar to the cooks among us. It is a dried clove but instead of using this one for flavour we will use it in creating an image. What can you make with it?

The “rules”:

• Use the starter image as at least part of your own image entry.
• Anything goes, as long as it meets the forum rules on decency, copyright, etc.
• Anyone, and everyone, is welcome to have a go, whether you are a complete beginner or a Photoshop expert. This is not just for our forum “regulars”.
• There are no prizes apart from the chance to practice, show off your skills, or bring a bit of humor and fun. Don't be shy, join in and have a go!
• The starter image is made available for you to use in this forum challenge only.

To download the starter image, hover over the image and click on the circle with the arrows at the top right. Then, when the image opens in its own window, right click and choose “Save Image As/Save Target As” (or similar depending on your browser).

When posting back your image — please use the blue reply button in this first post and use the 'Insert Photos' icon at the top of the reply box. If posting a comment on someone else’s entry, then please use the grey reply button next to their image post.

Dave, mj, I was surprised at its being scary. It was a follow up on this, and I wished to include the props but ran out of time trying to find them again.

Great challenge this week! A dried clove is an interesting starting point, and I’m looking forward to seeing all the creative interpretations. Thanks for setting this up—I'll definitely give it a go!

The lamps were serendipity. Even after desaturating and pulling down clarity and texture with the ACR filter, they  still read perfectly as decorative luminaires against the dark building. Opaque surface transforms into textured glass, and the specular highlight becomes the lamp seen through the glass. It's 100% perceptual, like the famous chessboard shadow illusion. I love stuff like that!
