Space Bar no longer works after Photoshop update?

22.5.3 & 23.0.2, neither versions of updated Phtoshop will function using the space bar? Why? I have to use Option+SpaceBar to insert space in text. Why?

Took me 5 days to figure this out. Doesn't it drive us crazy? I'm still in therapy.

Yes it is crazy. Online troubleshooting forums and tech support can help, but sometimes hard to know what invisible court the invisible ball is in. Thanks for reporting back and Happy Holidays!
