I don't know if I am confused, but I remember that before, I could create a new swatch spot color in Photoshop by simply creating a new swatch, and selecting spot color from a drop down menu. It's not letting me do it anymore, and when I research it, all of the answers include using channels. Is there still a way for me to create a spot color without having to use the channels? I'd much rather do it the old way. This is for screen printing by the way.
No, you've always had to use channels if you want to output spot separations.
