Still an error with abject selection tool

I am still wanting to know why when I try to use the "object selection tool" I'm being presented with a program error window stating "could not complete your request because of a program error. I was advised by a member of the Adobe team to use an older version of Photoshop about two months ago now however the error keeps persisting. I'm starting to wonder why I am paying a monthly subscription for some software that is just plagued with errors these days. Is it not about time you people at Adobe pulled your finger out & mastered this error?

He also says, "Our product team has been able to fix most of the issues that cause the Program error in Photoshop but they are still working on a couple which are left. We currently do not have an offiicial timeline on them."
