Hello,
In the recent 25.1 update, a new icon has appeared in each and every layer mask thumnail's lower right corner (screenshot attached). This is now obscuring 1/3rd of the preview which I had previously been able to see fully. The thumbnails can be made larger, but then more scrolling up and down the layers panel would be needed for anyone using a lot of layers, which I do regularly.
It makes no sense to obscure the preview, either do away with them completely or let us see it all. We've been doing fine without this icon for years. This is like taking away a driver's wing mirrors. All my layer masks can be scanned quickly to gain a view of where I am with my work flow, but now I can't see them.
All I ask is that this icon can be disabled for those that don't want it.
Thanks,
Rob

@Rob Dewey you'll have to wait for the release of version 25.2 to be able to disable it or revert back to version 25.0, Adobe have also broken the color sliders in version 25.1

An Adobe employee wrote this on another post:
Thanks for posting on this badge on layer masks, and apologies for the workflow disruption this causes.
The preference to disable this badging will be available in the next release of Photoshop.
Here are some solutions that will help in the meantime:

I have the same problem, so hoping they fix this quickly as it makes working on your mask very difficult.
