Strange performance issues

New Here ,

Hi All,

I'm new to the forum and am looking for some advice. I recently switched from a 2012 Macbook Pro to a custom built PC. Yet despite what should be a massive performance boost, photoshop has some weird performance issues and seems to run slower in a lot of cases than it does on my old Mac.

The main thing thats driving me insane is lag while using brushes or changing their size. Brushes will sometimes lag behind my cursor and when holding down the [ and ] keys to change size it wont scale smoothly, it will take about a second then jump to a larger size.

I have read through Adobe's performance document and have attached an image of my performance settings.Performance.png
