Sudden "destination does not exist" when exporting layers to files

Suddenly Photoshop can't export layers to files- I get the "destination does not exist" error whether I select the location or type it in manually.

The destination in question is just my desktop, nothing weird. However, this does work if the destination is my external harddrive. So maybe something is funky with PS recognizing the desktop? I have no idea.

I can Export As with no issue, it's just the Layers to Files that is bugged for some reason.

I just updated Photoshop, reset all preferences, restarted the application, restarted computer, etc. to no avail.

OS: Mac 12.6
PS: 24.2.0

Hi @graph-itti go to Apple System Prefs/Security and Privacy/Full Disk Access and make sure PS is listed and checked active.

Done, but even after restarting PS the issue persists.

I did play around a little more and it looks like PS can't export layers to files anywhere on my internal HD. It can only export to my external HD or the local network. Which is weird because I can still save files to my desktop, and even Export As them. It's specifically Layers to Files that's the issue.

There's also no suggested path when I open the dialog box- you can see in the attached screenshot that it's empy. I swear it used to have at least a suggested destination before this issue.

Oops, forgot to attach the additional screenshot. Here's the empy destination in the dialog box

Solved- after giving PS full disk access, I had to restart my computer. Now export layers to files works!
