I suggest that add icons in custom shapes in Photoshop such as social media icons, arrows, rippons that use them in designing social media posts.
You can create and save your own custom shapes from a shape or path that you draw.
In the Paths panel, select a path—either a vector mask for a shape layer, a work path, or a saved path.
Choose Edit > Define Custom Shape, and enter a name for the new custom shape in the Shape Name dialog box.
The new shape appears in the Shape pop-up panel in the options bar.

Jane, that's easier than the New Solid Fill Layer route that I usually take and tell people. I shall be switching to your method from here on. 🙂
