Text malfunctions and causes visual glitches. How to fix?

I'm trying to make a galaxy map for an upcoming scifi campaign my friends and I want to do, and whenever I go to add text to label important Star sectors, this happens. Any idea on how to fix?

Looks to me like a GPU related issue, what exact version of Photoshop are you using, have you tried updating/reinstalling your GPU driver, does enabling this option in preferences and restarting Photoshop help.
