Text Not Showing

I have noticed recently that when I select a text area and I am changing it I am unable to see the change until i click away from it. This just started happening.... In better words, if I had text that said GRAND OPENING and I select it and type GRAND OPENING JULY 10th, I do not see the changes until I click on another tool or hit esc.. Usually you can see what your typing as you do it... Any ideas what I did wrong

Could you share the version of Photoshop you're using along with the version of Windows you're working on?
