Hi there,

I cannot access my text layers when pressing T on my keyboard.  I can select the Text tool and edit the text that way but the keyboard shortcut for T works for 0.5 seconds and then goes back to the previous tool, meaning I don't get the option to edit the text on my document.

My Photoshop version is up to date and I have also attempted uninstalling Photoshop and removing the files through Revo Uninstaller.

Any support is appreciatede.

Thanks,

Lewis

Yeah, AFAIK it's a bug at the moment and mentioned many times before.

IIRC, a workaround is to disable the Spring-loaded option, or maybe even some seemingly unrelated option somewhere. Someone else will probably fill you in 🙂

This is what a user on Reddit suggested and it worked for me!

I'm sharing:

In a nutshell:

"Spring-loaded Tool Shortcuts is checked. Just UNCHECK it in Preferences > Tools.

Or, now that you know about it, if you like spring-loaded tools, be sure to click your mouse on the page as soon as you tap the T to start typing. Then it will stay on the Type tool."
