Text Slant Problem

Hi,

 

I was making something in Photoshop the other day and the text just was slanted like it was skewed by default.

It looks like this but it should look like this.

The 2nd image was skewed to regular but it could make the edges jagged. Is there a fix?

One possibility is accidentlly selecting Italics in the type panel:
