Photoshop 22.1.0
Mac OS Catalina 10.15.6

The SSD can be detected in the [Disk Utility], yet it is not shown in the [Scratch Disk] in Photoshop on Mac.

Even following the solution at https://community.adobe.com/t5/photoshop/no-scratch-disk-detected/m-p/10054937?page=1#M192219,

it did not work out.

Is there a way to use the SSD as a scratch disk on Mac?
Thank you in advance.

The only thing that comes to mind is that Mac scratch disks must be HFS+  formatted.

Thank you for your reply, the Mac scratch disk is APFS encrypted while the format of the SSD is ExFAT.

Now take any spare SSD drive, it can be a USB flash drive, format it as HFS+ and see if it is  recognized by Photoshop in the Scratch Disk list.

ExFAT does not play well with MacOS since Catalina.
