TIFF tags for ISO8601 datetime?

Hi,

Sorry if this is not the right subforum - I'm new here.

I work on the Google Earth Engine team, [weblink removed] where we often work with GeoTIFFs - they are commonly used in the remote sensing community. However, there is no general standard for encoding observation start/end date on such files, AFAIU. We'd like to standardize this a bit more, but first I need understand what options exist.

I know about TIFFTAG_DATETIME, but it has no timezone. In any case, we'd like to use two different tags for start and end.

How do I contact the team responsible for the TIFF spec to discuss this further?

Thanks,
Simon Ilyushchenko
