Hi everyone,
I’ve been working on some sports-themed social media graphics lately and would love some input from experienced designers here. I'm particularly interested in making dynamic visuals for live sports promotions—like match countdowns, team lineups, and real-time highlight templates.
What are some of your go-to techniques or tools in Photoshop for this kind of design work? Do you rely more on templates, or do you build everything from scratch?
I’ve been creating graphics for a sports streaming site I help manage, [link removed by mod] which offers live match coverage. Eye-catching visuals really help drive engagement, so I’m always looking to improve the designs.
Looking forward to learning from the community—thanks in advance!

The rule with sports photography was always shoot tight, crop tighter.
Try and get a face and the ball/bat/club/racket (where appropriate) in the shot.
Understand the sport you are shooting.
