Tired of the Bugs in Photoshop 2021 on Mac with M1 chip

I was operating Photoshop just fine on my M1 chip Apple, using Rosetta Stone, until the latest update. I could use my plugins. It was a beautiful thing.

Now Photoshop will open, then gets hung up after the image shows on the screen. The perpetual beach ball. I tied all the reboots, have uninstalled and reinstalled the prior version, and it continues to get hung up.

The only change was the Photoshop update. WTH?!

This is getting SO OLD. I think I'm about ready to let go of Photoshop and try the many other competitors out there.

Hi,

We're sorry about the trouble with Photoshop 2021 on your M1 Mac. Would you mind telling us which macOS version are you working on?

Please ensure that Photoshop has the necessary permissions on your Mac using the steps mentioned below:

1. Go to the System Preferences for your Mac, then Security and Privacy, then select the Privacy tab.

2. Then select Accessibility from the list to the left & check if Photoshop is added to the list with a check mark in front of it.

3. If Photoshop is not a part of the list, please add it by unlocking the window first using the lock at the bottom left, then clicking the + icon & navigating to the Applications folder.

4. Also, grant permissions to Photoshop under Full disk access located in the same list as Accessibility.

5. Once done, restart the Mac & check if it helps.

If the issue persists, you can try to reset the preferences of Photoshop using the steps mentioned here: https://adobe.ly/2Qzc0K3

Please backup your settings prior to resetting the preferences. You can check: https://adobe.ly/2vNz6FG

Let us know how it goes!

Regards,

Nikunj

LATEST

I'm running Big Sur 11.4.

I tried what you suggested for Bridge, Photoshop, and Lightroom, but it did not work.

Lightroom says it's having trouble connecting to the server. Photoshop just hangs. Bridge seems to be fine.

I'm wondering whether there is some problem with my creative cloud access. My password works to access CC, but my CC account says it is full when I have NO documents stored on it. Do you think these issues are connected?
