PS tool text performance is really bad. Everytime that I want to ajust something, size, font style, etc, it's to slow, especially while typing. Sometimes I've finished typing a word and the characters don't even show up on the screen! It's absurd!

It's been like this forever, for many versions.

My computer has a good graphic driver and processor. Core i7th 9gen and RTX 3060 12GB. AI and Indesign work perfectly.

The developers need to take a look on this. It's absurd the amount of money charged for such a [cursing removed] performance.

Yes,

I can verify the same slow typing problem on both windows 10 and 11 (on good hardware), as well as on mac (apple silicon) running latest system MacOS Sonoma. - And no, its not about RAM, 16 gig ram on mac and 32 gig on pc.
(you can even create a new blank document, and start typing with no background - same slow typing experience.)

This problem has been going for quite a while, but will most likely NOT be fixed due to the weak developers Adobe is employing.

The solution (sadly) seems to be shifting product to some other company that employes professional developers.

It sucks, but thats the truth - Adobes developers 2024 are to weak at programming, meaning they can't fix this even if they wanted to.

If your complaint is that an image editing program is not great for type-releated work you might do well to mind your manners.

What have you done about font-touble-shooting (identifying damaged fonts, weeding out superfluous fonts, …)?

Does setting Type > Font Preview Size > None make a difference?
