I recently re-installed mac soft and updated all my Creative cloud tools. Since then, everytime I edit, after a few minutes, the top menu bar freezez. I cannot click on anything, not even the apple logo menu. i tried restarting laptop, I reinstalled an older version of PS, the bug is still present. Has anyone else encountered this? Any fix?

@bibib28476917 hang on, you installed CC and then an older version of Photoshop?
Does your computer system meet the requirements for each Photoshop version to ensure compatibility with your operating system and hardware? https://helpx.adobe.com/ca/photoshop/system-requirements.html
I wouldn't confuse the computer like that. In this case, I would uninstall all of the Photoshop. Use the Adobe Cleaner Tool from Adobe website, https://helpx.adobe.com/ca/creative-cloud/kb/cc-cleaner-tool-installation-problems.html
Don't use any third-partty tool. Use the genuine from Adobe themselves.
Once that is completed, go back to Adobe Creative Cloud app, and install the older versions first, the one that actually worked. It's generally better to start with older versions of Photoshop and then install newer updates. Test Photoshop first, before going to the next update. Subsequent updates are applied on top of this foundation, minimizing the risk of conflicts or unexpected behavior.

My system def meets the requirement. I installed the latest version, 2025. I uninstalled it afterwards and downgraded to the prior one. It has the same issue. But it freezez faster. I don't remember which version I have been using since I never payd attention. I just updated anytime there was something available.

Thanks a lot. Sounds very similar but I am still using Sonoma, so I believe it's not the computer os that is causing the bug. I also found a thread on reddit and seems like many people have this problem. I downgraded even more to the late 2024 PS and the bug disappeared. It works just fine. I will be using this, at least for a while

@bibib28476917 Have you thought of just using Photoshop 2024? I am using '24 because my MacBook OS is old for '25. But, I am using Big Sur, I can't upgrade the OS either.
