When I load an old photoshop document, almost always nothing appears in the main big window.  Layers show, and the histogram appears. but there is nothing in the main window.

I am using a MacBook Air with 8 GB memory, Intet Iris Plus Graphics, and Sonoma 14.4 OS.

Photoshop version is 2024 v 25.5.1 with a Creative Cloud subscription.

Hey, @Nelson Aakre. Welcome to the Photoshop Community. I'll help you figure this out. Before troubleshooting, update Photoshop to the latest version (v25.6) via the Creative Cloud desktop app & check if the issue exists.

I'll move this to discussions for now. Try this:

Go to Photoshop > Settings (CMD + K) > Performance > Advanced Settings > Disable 'GPU Compositing' & restart Photoshop.

Check if it helps & let us know how it goes. Thanks!

Go to Photoshop Help Menu/System Info and copy/paste details in a reply. Post only once as the system takes time to process the large amount of data.
