Trying to resize photo shuts down PS 2022 [Windows 11]

I just updated to a new PC which has Windows 11. After installing PS 2022, updated version, I cannot resize a photo. When I attempt to do so I get the error message and it freezes, shows the send error report prompt, then shuts down the program. I downloaded several older versions of PS, one of which I had on my old computer that worked fine, but I can't resize in any of them. I sent several error reports from the various versions.

Thank you for your help. I found someplace here in the community about unchecking Use Graphics Processor in preferences so I tried that, and it worked! I can now resize my photos in PS. Yay!

Try resetting your Photoshop preferences. Press and hold Alt+Control+Shift (Windows) or Option+Command+Shift (Mac OS) immediately after launching Photoshop. You will be prompted to delete the current settings.

(Mac OS only) Open the Preferences folder in the Library folder*, and drag the Adobe Photoshop CS Settings folder to the Trash.

This action only affects the items found in the preferences dialog box. Numerous program settings are stored in the Adobe Photoshop Preferences file, including general display options, file-saving options, performance options, cursor options, transparency options, type options, and options for plug‑ins and scratch disks. Brushes (and lots of other setting) are not affected by the above instructions for deleting preferences. You may wish to make a screen capture of the settings in the Preferences dialog to reset them prior to deleting of this file.

*To manually delete Photoshop preferences:
Quit Photoshop.
Navigate to Photoshop's Preferences folder:
MacOS: Users/[user name]/Library/Preferences/Adobe Photoshop [version] Settings
Windows 10: Users/[user name]/AppData/Roaming/Adobe/Adobe Photoshop [version]/Adobe Photoshop [version] Settings

Note:
The user Library folder is hidden by default on macOS. To access files in the hidden user Library folder, see How to access hidden user library files.

Drag the entire Adobe Photoshop [Version] Settings folder to the desktop or somewhere safe for a back-up of your settings

Thank you for your reply. I tried this - Press and hold Alt+Control+Shift (Windows), but I do not get a prompt to delete the current settings. I tried following the manual directions but I have yet to find the Photoshop's Preferences folder or Adobe Photoshop [Version] Settings folder. Perhaps it's named differently in Windows 11 which is what is on this computer.

Are you including your email address with the error reports? If not, make sure you do.  @J453 reads those error reports.

Before Photoshop crashes, try doing  a reset by going into Preferences seen here:

If turning OFF GPU works, it's a GPU bug and you need to contact the manufacturer or find out if there's an updated driver for it. On the Mac, that's part of the OS update(s) so if this is the latest OS version, you may need to roll back a release.
