Type tool not working in PS 23.3

Since the update to 23.3.0 on my Windows 10 PC, the type tool is no longer working.  I select the tool, then click on the image.  The image then disappears, being replaced with plain white. 

The update on my Windows 11 laptop does not have this problem.

Hi

Hit Ctrl + K to go into the preferences and disable this option then restart Photoshop

I've highlighted the option in green, hitting Ctrl + K will bring you into the Preferences, from there click on the Performance tab, click on Advanced Settings and it will open up the Advanced Graphics Processor Settings, uncheck GPU Compositing and then restart Photoshop
