Unable to add new note to image file with photoshop notes tool.

I have used the notes tool before with ease. Today, there is no "add note" option in the notes tool. What's up with that? Here is a screen shot of the Notes window, with no add new functionality. PS2022, updated.  https://www.screencast.com/t/oMIsdGYOX

Yep. Duh! I was trying to use the Notes Window and not the Notes Tool. Been too long I guess. Thank you!

Maybe you can't add note because of 23.3.2 update fixing this:

Did you select the Tool and click on the image?

Don't seem to be able to add a note to an image file. No add note option with the Note tool open? I've used it before. Not sure what's up with it. Photoshop updated today to 23.3.2. Screenshot: https://www.screencast.com/t/XSK8iDm2Y

Thanks all. Yes >> I was trying to add a note from the Notes Window instead of the Notes Tool, witch is in the extra tools pop out list. Been too long since I used it!

I ruled out this possibility. Part of your post misled me 😉 Mark please first good answer as correct.
