Unable to create new file in photoshop

Hi, I'm not that great with computers and I'm new to photoshop so please bear with me. But I can't seem to create a new file and I don't know what to do. Everytime I try I just get this pop up and then photoshop closes itself. I really need to figure this out so I can do my homework for school. Thanks

In the meantime, you can try an earlier version of Photoshop until they find the problem.
