Hey - I had to downgrade to a previous version of Photoshop 2025 because Photoshop would not launch after this update.

I updated 3 days ago, have opened and closed Ps 26.7 a half-dozen times.
Details, Callum -- symptoms? You click the app icon, no start, with no sign of Ps?
Check Task Manager (Win), Activity Monitor (Mac) for 'Adobe Photoshop 2025' to see if it's loaded into memory but not active.
If there, Stop or Force Quit the process and try again.

Hey, I had fixed this issue by downgrading and when I finally updated again it seemed to be working again, but out of nowhere, after using photoshop for a few hours today, it isn't opening again like it did before. I click photoshop and it does nothing. When I look at my task manager, I can see it in the background, but it never opens. I'm not quite sure what could be causing this.

Hi,
I just updated again and it opens fine now with no issues. It's strange, I re-installed several times, re-booted my computer, and no matter what it would just not open. I would run as administrator and try all the tricks I knew, but it just wouldn't open. When I checked task manager however I could see it there.
Installing an older version of 2025 did the trick, and I updated it to share my problem with you but it's opening fine for now. I'll respond again if there is any other issues. Thank you.

Hi again. Just got back to my computer to see (image attached) my memory is at 99% because of "Adobe CEP HTML Engine"
The fixes I've seen online feel like bandaids rather than actual solutions. Do you have any idea what I can do about this?

Hey, @Callum27512732dcky. Thanks for sharing the details. I'll help you figure this out.
In the Creative Cloud app, press CTRL + ALT + T (Windows) to launch Creative Cloud Troubleshooter. Select 'Close Creative Cloud and related processes' > click on Go.
1 - Go to the location mentioned below and rename these CEP folders it to backup.
Windows 10/11:
A - C:\Program Files\Adobe\Photoshop 2025\ Required > CEP
B - C:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe > CEP
C - Press Windows + R > paste this address "%temp% > cep_cache
2 - Rename the mentioned folder by adding .old or delete the folder. (CEP > Rename > CEP. old)
3 - Restart the machine > open Creative Cloud > reinstall the update for Photoshop, reinstall Photoshop & check how it goes.
Thanks!
