Photoshop freezes when i try to open it, and it is impossible to edit pictures in photoshop from lightroom. When i try to edit in Luminar (from lightroom) it opens just fine. It won't save the file thoug, and just closes without saving. In the windows log it says that coresync crashed. This program stops working as soon as it is started.

First i updated everything, and this did not work. Then i tried reinstalling it all, but did not work eighter.

Final solution was to whipe all the programs, and use cc cleaner from adobe. Restart the pc, and reïnstall the program, and it is not solved.

Restarted the PC again, and now at least it seems that saving in Luminar works again. I still cannot open photoshop though. It freezes on start. So what can i do? (and why do i always have problems when updating? it never just updates, i always have to spend hours troubleshooting, and it is frustrating.)

I am working on a laptop with Windows 10 home edition 64 bit.

I have a intel core i7 2.60GHz

My memory is 16 gig

and i am working from a 500 gig SSD and the images are on a 4TB external HDD

I keep windows and programs actively up to date.

Added are the Windows logs of the crashing of photoshop and Coresync.

Hi,

We're sorry about the trouble with Photoshop 22.4.3. Have you tried launching the app as administrator to check if that helps? If not, please try that & let us know how it goes.

If that doesn't help, you can try to reset the preferences of Photoshop manually using the steps mentioned here: https://adobe.ly/2Qzc0K3

Please backup your settings prior to resetting the preferences. You can check: https://adobe.ly/2vNz6FG

Let us know how it goes!

Regards,

Nikunj

Have you checked requirements for graphic card/processing unit (I can not find that info in log report) https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/kb/photoshop-cc-gpu-card-faq.html

Your graphic card should have 2000 or above score on this list/chart https://www.videocardbenchmark.net/directCompute.html
