Unresolvable error message--cascades infinitely--see attached screenshot

This happens within a few moments of opening the application. 've tried un/reistalling, trashing prefs, etc...
I need PS asap, gah!

Hi @David243979073pbq, sorry you are haing issues.

Go to Preferences > Performance... and uncheck Multithreaded Compositing - and restart Photoshop. Does the problem persist? 

Go to Preferences > Performance... click Advanced Settings... and uncheck "GPU Compositing" - then restart Photoshop. Does the problem still occur?
